It was with great interest I read this article on Huffington Post. The article describes how the major political polls have shifted their criteria to provide more data from Republicans...in some cases a rather substantial shift...which may explain why the results have come out differently in the past few days.
As Karl Rove once said "If you don't like the results of a poll, fire the pollster". The thing we must remember as polls come out earlier and earlier, is, a close election is much better for ratings than a lopsided one. So, it makes me wonder: Is the national news media skewing polls to show a closer election than it actually is solely to drive ratings? Seeing how the large media outlets are only driven by the bottom line, I, for one, would certainly not be surprised.
