The Primary Draws Closer!

Recently, the Democratic Governor's have been showing in full force on the media; Creigh Deeds, Terry McAuliffe, and Brian Moran have their faces and ads on televisions around Virginia, getting Virginians ready for the Democratic primary June 9th.
After running a fantastic campaign, John Bowerbank recently withdrew from the Lt. Governor's race, leaving Mike Signer and Jody Wagner to campaigner harder.
Additionally, on May 30th, around Virginia Virginia Young Democrats will be hosting regional straw polls. Be sure to attend and be involved, our candidates value our voices. Check back for more information soon!
Virginia is one of two gubernatorial races in the United States this election cycle and we're a toss up. Our candidates are competitive and electable in the Commonwealth, and democrats around the country will have their eyes on our race. It's important as young dems to continue being a forceful voting block. Critics say that in November the young voters' huge turn out was an Obama phenomenon. We helped turn multiple battle ground states blue, so let's prove that we are involved and we care about state politics!
