A Tax On Our Generation

A Tax On Our Generation

Governor Bob McDonnell was elected in November with a big majority on the promise that he would not raise taxes. Sounds dandy, right? Why would anyone want to give more to the guys in Richmond. So - what happens when we need money to pay for very basic yet critically important things like schools and roads?

Governor McDonnell's plan is to pass the burden onto our generation in the form of fees, tuition, and less basic services from the government. The cost of a drive from Arlington to Reston will continue to rise. The cost of preparing for a job in the 21st century with a college degree will skyrocket. The number of teachers in our elementary and high schools will go down. The quality of our roads, our education, and our future will diminish. Bob McDonnell doesn't see this as a tax. We Do. Governor McDonnell's campaign donors won't feel the pain from the rising costs of tuition. We Will

Tell Bob McDonnell and our legislators in Richmond that the raid on our education stops now.
