"The New Dominion Project (http://newdominionproject.com/), a new Virginia grassroots organization chaired by former Lieutenant Governor candidate Mike Signer, is looking for interns. NDP is dedicated to confronting the idea that Virginia is backward-looking and divisive by promoting innovation, reform, and unity by highlighting the individuals, organizations, and ideas taking Virginia forward. Interns will work on researching stories about Virginia companies and activists, filming and editing footage, writing blog posts, researching promising public policy ideas from Virginia and around the country, and doing political research and analysis. The hours will be very flexible and there will be opportunities to travel and write. We’re looking for interns from around the Commonwealth. You may vote absentee for many reasons, including if you are a student, if you will be working 11 or more hours on Election Day, if you have a disability or an illness, a religious obligation, or even if you will be working inside the polls on Election Day. INVITATION: UVA Campaign Invasion!
Join the YDs at UVA on Saturday October 18, starting at 10 am, for a sweet day of campaigning in the 5th District. We'll be canvassing the local area, phoning to other key areas of the 5th District, and perhaps doing visibility outside our home football game. Additionally, we'll be having a huge party that night and everyone's invited. We have couch space available for those who need it! (or we can help you find a cheap hotel).
