Please Note: You have been invited to check out a preview of our 2010 Spring Program. While we will be rolling out pictures and event dates in the coming weeks, much of our work is ahead of us. Some of these sites are "skeletons" and will remain that way until we have some cool pictures to show you! Until then, please join us in imagining the possibilities!
The Virginia Young Democrats continue to grow as an organization. Building off of our solid work in 2009 and our important contributions so far this year, VAYD is working hard to become the primer force for Democratic volunteers and progressive advocacy in the commonwealth. Our program for this spring is very exciting. It includes:
- Spring Organizers. Our Spring Organizing Fellows will help strengthen our members and identify new chapters.
- Legislative Fellows. Our Legislative Fellows will serve as a second set of hands for the most important Democrats in Richmond: Committee Chairs in the state senate.
- Spring Training. It's a tradition in baseball for a reason! Our Spring Training Series will make lieutenants out of the foot soldiers from 2008 and 2009.
- Convention. The one thing we do almost as good as door-knocking: Partying! This year our convention will train 200 Young Dems on the keys to winning campaigns and running an on-campus organization.
Our Spring Program will train 500 Young Democrats, activate 50 new chapters, and ready our generation to do the work needed to dominate Virginia's packed election calendar. You can support our programs by donating to VAYD and becoming a member of our Commonwealth Club today!
